That there’s no podcast links. This is partly to do with changes in Rights Licensing, and Hard Rock Hell Radio.
The licensing people here in the UK have split licenses for Internet Radio and Podcasts, so there is now an enforceable Podcast licence for Music. As this is a music show, and we have now moved to play not just unsigned and independent artists, I’ve done the figures, and on both my feed, and the Hard Rock Hell Radio feeds, it’s going to cost a small fortune.
So rather than self hosting or finding another provider (most of which hate music shows for just this same rights issues), we’re going to give Mixcloud another go.
From today, the podcast feed will stop, and will be stagnant. Shows will be uploaded for 12 noon on a Friday and show posts will be here at 1pm, and Hard Rock Hell Radio at 2pm. The show will still go out live on Hard Rock Hell Radio as normal at 12 noon Fridays. Hard Rock Hell is transitioning their shows to Mixcloud with my help, and their feeds will halt.
This is not the end of DarkCompass, just a transition. If you want to support the show and keep it going listen on Mixcloud or here in the posts, and if you feel inclined Buy Me A Coffee , or buy a T-Shirt in support. Complaints can go to your local Reform Politician.
