The Glass is IN

Having won the prestigious National Winner Award this year at The European Podcast Awards, I was not expecting a huge piece of glass to arrive at my desk, just the DVR.
When it arrived with the glass award I was very surprised, and happy. That will last forever.
I’d again like to thank everyone who voted for me, and in fact other podcasters too, who also encouraged their listeners to listen to me and vote.
The Olympus DM-670, is small and compact – and with 8GB of storage onboard, I’m sure Im going to get lots of great content at this summers Podcrawl. Anyone coming, please don’t be surprised if I shove my bright shiny gadget in front of you for a chat.

DC 519 Titanic Missiles

This week, second attempt at recording, and even some interaction when I do so. Recovering from disc failure with some great bands sending me tunes. The Space opens, with John Peels first 100 records. I’m out of touch. Duran Duran to be in the spotlight at the olympics, the best of UK music? Mmm, alongside them will be battleships, fight aircraft and Surface to Air Missiles (not air to surface!), which is overkill, literally. Should I do news? Oz billionaire to make Titanic float again, making a new one with 21st Century technology shoehorned in to 1912’s design, will it fit?

After a week off, getting back up to speed. A nice break off doing stuff, back here, non stop. Watching more live bands, and a disk failure (losing all 33,000 music tracks) makes this week a disappointment. But, interesting news Spotify to be added to the charts? Nooooo! well, not yet, Music has same effect as performace enhancing drugs, say psychotherapists, and crazy celebrity name of the week goes to Astala Dylan Willow Cohen-Geldof, well what do you expect when your mum is called Peaches?
