Very Strange Sims

Now this is weird.
Obviouslypeople don'thave better things to do with their artistry.
New skins for sims like "ladyboy", Satyr, "Giant Baby", and "Vampire", as well a phallic statues, booby paintings, Satan and Angel Chairs, just to name a few.
Ifyou want your Sim to live in Bizarro World then pick the lot up from here

Wireless hijacking under scrutiny

After that guy was charged, there looks like there is going to be more and more investigations, arrests and charges.
I'll have to keep this for another podcast, but I think that if you have WiFi in the home, make it secure, it's not as hard as you think.
If you have WiFi at work and it;s not secure then on your own head be it.
I have scanned the local area to the bedsit, I've even talked about the local school having a connection thats open to all unsundry.
There will come a time when this will not matter, internet for all. But until then, the police and ISPs will clean up on legal and "illegal" usage of the internet.

Cybermen to appear in Series 2

whoCybermen are expected to appear in Series 2 of Dr.Who.
Now, Cybermen were my frightening characters in this. Just like The Borg in Star Trek TNG after them, the ruthlessness of them man/machines, oooo, makes you shiver.

Another G & V Evening

dclogoAs some of you downloaded the previous Graeme and Vikki evening, I thought of doing another, this time with an additional person, Warren.
We played Bid from Dirtycheats.com, which was rather jolly.
Show was only 30 minutes long so if you fancy you can download it from Here.

Past Dr Who companion to return

Mmm, interesting seeing old companions emerge. This will give some "consistency" I suppose, what with people of Jon Pertwee/Tom Baker era.
However the new outfit they've givin The Doctor, looks scruffy. Timeless? more like wrinkled to the end of time. According to the Article Anthony Head will feature in the new series. That'llkeep Victoria happy.

Arrested for WarDriving!

Wireless network hijacker found guilty - Government & Law - Breaking Business and Technology News at silicon.com: "A UK man has been fined £500 and sentenced to 12 months' conditional discharge for hijacking a wireless broadband connection."
He connected to the network. Well?
It was said it was not fraudulent.
What would happen if you had your laptop on and you connected to a BT OpenZone Access Point when you don't have an account, thats connection to a network!
This is the first instance of this kind in the UK.
So Wardriving is illegal then.
Maybe my warning to the local school is illegal. My system detected and connected by accident, but I informed the school that they had an open node, and explained that paedophiles could use the information on the computers for nefarious means.

London blasts cause chaos on Tube , what again?

BBC have just alerted us to another possible attack on London this afternoon. Things are again "up in the air", but presumed, a lot less intense as last week.
Mr. Blair on TV now, interupting Mr. Howard's (the Oz prime minister) trying to bring things to normal.
Obvously got the wrong ones. The added "terrorism" laws that came into place evicting people who condone the actsof voilence has obviously caused this.

Scotty dies aged 85

James Doohan, Scotty of Star Trek, the Original Series has died at the age of 85 today.
He'd been suffering from Alzheimers for a while.
He had a good run, even fathered a daughter at the age of 80.
He'll be missed.

108 episode missing?
Where?
The BBC lost an awful lot of tapes in the 90's,it would be an awful pity to lose something like this. What with tech getting more and more media oriented it should now be a crime to lose gems like this.

Palm is Palm again

Yay! I always said they should not have changed the name, seems like they heeded the consumers call.
Mind you I need to get mine up and running again, it's been a while since I even powered mine on. Getting so dated now, and with no cash at the moment, seems very unlikely that something I don't use will get an upgrade to something nicer.

Graeme and Vikki evening

A Graeme and Vikki evening last night, with a recording of the game Brit Quiz, a trivia game about british things, history, sport, celebs, the lot. Very entertaining.
Feel free to download it here, about a hour long. Not part of the Podcast feed, just a freebie if you want to listen.
They'll be a show recorded tonight for your entertainment tomorrow (or whenever).

Birmingham centre under threat

Bitmingham now under threat, texted Podcast Paul to see if there was any more news about whats going on there, no answer yet. Is this releated to two days ago?
No explosions, just evacuation of the city centre, but I guess they would move over 400,000 pwople if it wasn't for a good reason.
Yjecountries second city now beign threatened. Are these people moving up the country to G8?

The London explosions, my thoughts

It surprising that after all these years since 9/11, people have started to become apathetic to terrorism, until again it happens, like this to local soil.
Terrorism doesn't work, bombing is not productive. This sparks off more hatred towards them, their creed and their cause, the terrorists reason behind this kind of thing is lost, amongst the the debris.
If only people could find out the reason why fanatics do this, then I'm sure it can be talked out, a peaceful solution.
If it is western cultures fault, imperial oppression from 150 years ago, we could say sorry, what can we do to make amends. We could progress as a global community.
In this day and age, and with a global population as large as it is, these things are forgotten after the media has focused on something else, that the depressing part of it too.
I extend my thoughts to the people that have been effected by this, and thankful that no one I know directly has been effected. Thanks to everyone who's emailed me and expressed their concerns.
Love to all.

Podcasting set for 'huge growth'

Setfor rapid growth eh? no indication other than The Tartan Podcast that the UK has a growing, throbing podcast community.
This sometimes beggars belief when you hear UK podcasters being interviewed by the BBC and then they put out drivel like this.

London Bombed

Multiple blasts paralyse London
According to contacts there, no news whether or not it was terrorists.
Anouncement from Blair at 12:00.
If it was terrorists why not focus on G8 rather than London ... misinformation?

London to host 2012 Games

Was it David Beckhams influence of Blairs that swung this for the UK. Those Media Whores.
The nation will now spend vast amounts of money ensuring the sport is priority for the next 6 years.
Everyone knows my take on how the Olympics should be run.
I am not l ooking forward to this at all....

Torn between two downloads

Enlighten me.
I am using two aggregations. Nimiq and iTunes.
Now I'm kind of tied to iTunes because I bought the latest White Stripes album from it. The podcasting facility is good. But not as good as Nimiq.
As I don't have an iPod, I have to resort to using Shuffler, which is a great program to transfer from a load of sub directories to my mp3 player. Work a treat, and have used this to transfer itunes mp3 and nimiq mp3.
iTunes of course uses protected mp4 files, which is a damned pain. Windows Media player recognizes my mp3 player and strips the DRM stuff for play when iTunes -- well, I have to resort to jHymn to unlock.
What do I do, kill iTunes (unblock all the downloads I have done and transfer), or Nimiq for my podcatching needs.
You decide for me, I've had enough of fighting with this.
