Wired News: Podcasting Killed the Radio Star: "The world's first all-podcast radio station will be launched on May 16 "
Joel Hollander, the CEO of Infinity, said the station, which would be promoted under the name KYOURADIO, would run material submitted by listeners but screened to make sure it conforms with federal broadcasting standards for decency.
Well that blows Dawn and Drew out the window then!
Kyouradio, they've talked to a couple of people about getting podcasts on AM Radio in the states. Another company trying to get free content for a radio station no one will hear.

Mirror.co.uk - News - Showbiz News - BROSNAN WILL BE BOND IN NEW FILM: "Dame Judi said: 'Despite the fact that everyone on the face of the earth has been tested as his possible replacement, Pierce will be doing it again. It will be announced come summer.'"
Source - The Mirror. Mmm, we'll see. Don't you think Bond is getting stale though?
Institute for Backup Trauma
Really funny this. It's an ad for disk based backup rather than tape based, but the opening Video is well worth watching. Typical and topical Cleese at his best.

Electronic Eyezone Massager, Gadget Stuff
I need one of these, looking at computer screens 23 hours a day has not done my peepers any good. Anything short of scooping my eyes out and soaking over night would be a benefit.
I am going to get one of these in the next couple of weeks.

BBC NEWS | Election 2005 | England | Fuel protesters picket refinery
"In 2000 they [the government] promised they would look at the situation in relation to fuel and fuel tax. "Here we are in 2005 and the government of the day don't even seem to be having it on the agenda,"
I agree totally, just another excuse.
What did I say in a podcast last week? Predictions confirmed.

Vinnie's X-rated film role
TOUGH guy Vinnie Jones is set to play a super-powered villain in X-Men 3.
Hmm, I'd like to see it. I like to think Vinnie Jones is a genuine, if misunderstood brit, alright he was a bit of a bastard on the pitch, but the fever of the moment and all that.

Sci Fi Wire -- Freeman OK With Hitchhiker Sequel
I have a feeling that it's not going to happen. A lot of the HHGTTG fans will shun the film, I am.
Douglas Adams has made one of the best Sci-Fi comedies on the 20th century, and this film is going to spoil it with the slapstick.

We receivied a phone call at 3:o3 this afternoon saying that Bruno had passed on moments earlier.
We went to pick him up and bring him home and was laid to rest 5:15 this afternoon.
Possibly a podcast tonight.
Bruno Progress
Well not progress, but we've had the blood results back and it looks like a liver problem. He's not eating, and has lost 75% of his body weight since easter, but he's not in any pain, so the plan it to see what is causing these problems via active xray. He's so immobile at the moment he does not need sedation. Kerry, our vet is a true diamond. We are all hoping there is more to do. As soon as we know more we can then progress.
Either way we want Bruno to return home, whether it's to recouperate with loads of medication and love, or just a few days to be amonst family.

Podshows.com
Not exactly got all the hooks in yet.

Because we're the world's first professional Pod Casting website, the record companies have never agreed to licensing for this kind of business. So we're just finalising the paperwork which means in a few weeks you WILL be able to download ALL Podshows to your MP3 player. Of course in the meantime there's the option to stream them.
Will podshows play on my MP3 player and iPod?
This is a tricky one! Due to music licensing rules and DRM encryption you'll only be able to download a music Podshow to your MP3 player. iPods have their own encryption called AAC so it won't work. However you'll still be able to hear these as streams.
When you click on each presenter page you'll find their email address.

Ha. How the hell is Kenny Everett supposed to reply to my emails?

Old DJs back new Podcast venture at Podshows.com, ranging from 49p to a quid.
What the hell is going on?
Just when you thought it was all going to be free, get your radio shows for brass in pocket.
I think this will be just commercial radio shows being made available for download, rather than podcasters making money. Details still a little vague.
